Fire Radiata Urchin (Astropyga radiata)

These urchins provide excellent algae conrtol, but they can deliver a powerfully painful and venomous sting. This urchin is has spines are long and sharp, constantly moving, and irregularly distributed. In the wild, these urchins play host to a variety of other organisms including commensal shrimp, crabs, and cardinalfish that find solace from predators within the urchins' spines during daylight hours. The Fire Radiata Urchin max size in the wild is 8 inches and requires at least a 75 gallon aquarium. This a peaceful easy care level reef safe Urchin. Available at AQUARIUM OUTFTTERS.
